I'm cold like that.

Last year, he got what he called a cold. It was, quite possibly, the worst cold in the history of colds. You'd have thought the man was the first one to ever get a cold, ever. You'd have thought he was dying. I mean, the moaning, the groaning, it was something else. And because the spare room is right across the hall from the girl and she is about an sympathetic as I am, she ended up moving in with me for the duration. But then, as it turns out, she & I BOTH came down with it and as it turns out, it was not a cold, it was the flu (He had gotten the shot, so he swore it wasn't that! But it was.) and it really was awful. We almost felt bad for being so cold to him. Almost. We had, after all, gotten sick from him, so that may have tempered our sympathy. Bless his heart, he called in a neighbor to come cook us soup even after we were so awful to him.

Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13879162672311458964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7301586145140787353.post-17129934063776722472016-10-09T08:26:13.265-05:002016-10-09T08:26:13.265-05:00Evil to pull your pillow! I totally...Evil to pull your pillow! And infect it!
I totally laughed when I got to the end. It's true, we avoid touching at all for a while after being sick. Everything feels toxic, from the germs to our attitudes when sick.
