Doxie.
Doxie looking outside through the torn screen door in his parents' falling-down house.
Doxie showing some ingenuity.
Free doxie!
Time passes.
Doxie remembers he hates outside.
Doxie who can't jump on the bed finds the inner strength and fortitude to hop up to the door ...
... and through the torn screen. Success!

Love it! What a smart resourceful little guy. Who needs a fancy-pants dog door when you can keep it real like that?
ReplyDeleteHappy impending wedding!
Now, see, I'm thinking that is a dog that DESERVES the convenience of a dog door. In other news, me, the crappiest dog mom ever, locked Buddy on the outside of the dog door when the plumber came to my house. Let him in through sliding door, and then failed to unlock the doggie door.
ReplyDeleteBuddy then figured out how to open the sliding glass door so that he could potty. Took me two days to figure out why I kept coming home to the glass door being open. Now if he could just feed himself too...
Oh that is hilarious! Smart doggie!
ReplyDeleteHa! Clever dog!
ReplyDeleteOh Doxie, you are so smart!
ReplyDeleteJust a tip; if he's going to be jumping in and out of the door, you may want to remove the harness so he doesn't hang up somewhere and get hurt. May never happen, but I can tell you from experience, if he were mine, it would happen.
